Frequently Asked Questions
What do you treat?
We find that most issues stem from intestinal microbiome breakdown and malabsorption. This leads to most diseases from simple bloating to mental health and autoimmune diseases. The body heals when it is brought into homeodynamic balance. This balance starts with the gut.
What is the New Patient Process?
To become a patient, you need to complete all questionnaires in the patient portal and schedule an intake appointment. A lab appointment will be scheduled to complete labs prior to your New Patient appointment. Our process to become a new patient is outlined here.
What lifestyle changes are expected?
This depends on the individual. For most, we start with food changes and later move on to activities as the client’s energy level increases.
What type of results can I expect?
Results and results timelines will vary per individual and are largely determined by program adherence. If you are dedicated to your program with Dr. Berry you will have noticeable changes around months 2 to 3, and as you advance your new lifestyle changes it will take the full year to year and a half to notice a lasting and sustainable difference. Also, keeping in mind, the Health continuum is not always necessarily a straight path and we must allow room for life circumstances (such as holidays, vacations, work demands, and illnesses).
May I continue to see my PCP?
We offer holistic therapies, which do take time for the body to truly heal- so that proper function can be restored. At no time do we encourage you to stop seeing your PCP for any reason; that is a decision that only you can make. At the same time, we do not recommend that you discontinue any prescribed medications or forego any treatments from your PCP. *SEE NEXT QUESTION*
Can I discontinue my medications while working with you?
It is not our intent to compete with your PCP. We acknowledge and respect the medical guidance offered from your medical provider and therefore do not advise you to discontinue any medication prescriptions. We do ask that you disclose your list of medications, as we need to be aware of any side effects or specific issues related to any possible interactions with our modalities. (However, you will need to report any adverse reactions to your pharmacy and doctor, so that it is properly documented).
How is your Program or process different from other holistic programs?
Our program takes an individual approach to examine the entire patient history (including, but not limited to- birth history, medical diagnosis, surgeries, physical traumas, familial health, female gynecological history, mental health, counseling history, lifestyle, exercise, nutrition and overall life satisfaction/ support system). We use this information to determine what specific labs and directives are necessary to move you towards your health journey. This helps us to bring you a highly personalized method of treatment. Your plan will be anywhere between 12 to 18 months and your treatment schedule will cater to your budget and your health goals.
What about labs?
If you have basic labs from your doctor that are less than 3 months old, we can use those labs. However, we have labs that typical medical doctors do not do. These labs include food sensitivities, hair tissue analysis, adrenal function tests, and subclinical autoimmune tests. More about assessments here.
What do I need to do to prepare for my labs?
Please arrive to your lab appointment well hydrated and prepared for a urine sample. If you are doing the hair analysis test, please ensure that your hair is freshly washed and then rinsed clean only; do not add any conditioners or moisturizers whatsoever. The hair must also be completely dry and free of any and all products. Bring the name of your shampoo with you as this is requested by the lab.
What is Auriculotherapy?
Auriculotherapy is a therapeutic technique that involves stimulating the external ear (auricle) to diagnose and treat health conditions throughout the body. Learn more here.
How do I care for my ear beads?
Ear beads must be checked daily to ensure that they are still in place. After three days please remove any remaining ear beads and dispose of them properly.
How do I avoid Herxheimer’s effect?
Our personalized protocol will likely include a fair amount of detoxification. Proper hydration will help aid this process. While working with us please ensure that you are drinking at least half of your body weight in ounces of water.

Are your services covered by insurance?
We DO NOT bill insurance. We do accept FSA (flex spending accounts) and HSA (health savings accounts) at this time if your insurance covers acupuncture or mental health. However, it is your responsibility to confirm that your insurance will cover our services. You should also check to see if your insurance needs a letter of medical necessity (LOMN) (there is a $100 charge for Dr. Berry to complete the LOMN). You are responsible for payment at time of service. We also offer coded invoices (super bills) to send to your insurance for reimbursement. We are now taking Medicaid for children for mental health services only.
How much does it cost?
Most of our Treatment Plans are for 12-18 months and appointments range from $150-$195 (except for lab appointments). However, it is difficult to determine what your individual cost will be because each Treatment Plan is customized to your needs. Labs range from $150-$750. Our prices are individually listed here.
What payment options do you offer?
We take any credit/debit cards, cash, check, flex-spending, or health savings cards and have monthly or biweekly interest-free payment plans to help you budget for your health.
How soon can I expect to get/ feel better?
The awesome thing about holistic health is that it is a Lifestyle, we are teaching you healthy changes which require new ways of thinking. The more you adhere to the program and implement all of the recommended treatments/ choices, you can expect to feel better within 2 to 4 months with life-lasting results. *Individual results may vary.
