Colon

Most specialists now agree that a poorly functioning digestive system is the root cause of most disease. The small intestine is 27 feet long and if spread out covers the entire length of a tennis court. The small intestine must be alkaline (at a pH of 8.2 – 8.5) in order for digestion and absorption of nutrients to successfully occur through the intestinal wall and into the blood stream. There must also be significant numbers of pro-biotics or ‘good bacteria’ to maintain the proper balance of micro-organisms in both the small and large intestines. When the small intestine is acidic from poor acid/alkaline balance and excessive bad bacteria, digestion will be severely impaired.

Impaired digestion causes symptoms such as:

  • Heartburn
  • Indigestion
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Spastic Colon
  • Acid Reflux
  • Chrone’s Disease
  • Gas
  • Bloating
  • Diverticulitis
  • Polyps
  • Constipation
  • Eventually Colon Cancer

Unfortunately these conditions are primarily treated with medications. The medication is only masking the symptoms while the cause of the digestive disturbance is never addressed.

The Root Cause of Disease

When the small intestine is acidic or has improper balance of good bacteria, food cannot be broken down properly into microscopic pieces, to be passed through the intestinal wall and into our blood stream. If we are not producing healthy blood to nourish every organ tissue and cell in our body with oxygen and nutrients; disease starts to develop in the body at a cellular level. Our blood is dependent upon a healthy digestive system. When food particles are not broken down properly in the stomach and small intestine, the undigested food particles start to rot, ferment, and putrefy in the intestines, thus creating symptoms like: gas, bloating, heartburn, indigestion, acid reflux, constipation and diarrhea. If left untreated this leads to chronic conditions like:

  • Chrones disease
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Diverticulitis
  • Polyps
  • Colon Cancer

Unfortunately the chaos doesn’t stop there. The human body is designed to have a bowel movement after every meal, 3 meals a day equals 3 bowel movements a day. This is called a gastro-colic reflex. The stomach expands from the ingested meal simultaneously causing the colon to contract thus pushing out the waste in the colon to make room for the next meal. Most Americans are chronically constipated; they are only having 1 bowel movement a day. This means the other 2 meals stay inside the colon rotting and putrefying. In one week there could be 10 or more meals trapped inside the colon. The average person has 5 pounds of undigested bowel in their colon. This bowel left inside the colon continually rotting and putrefying eventually gets reabsorbed through the intestinal wall and into the blood stream. Now the poisoned blood is carried throughout the entire body giving birth to the 150 degenerative diseases known to man. This process is known as Autointoxication.

It is critical that we alkalize our small intestine as well as clean out the waste that is lodged inside the colon. Unfortunately the colon cleanses advertised on T.V. as well as in health food stores offer only minimal results. It is best to use a natural, gravity-fed hydro cleansing program over several weeks that is safe and effective to eliminate all the accumulated waste in the intestines.
